I must say this threw me back also, to the days when my grandmother use to make banana pudding. but she would use jello pudding. I find this recipe easy to make and it tastes great too!

After all this, I made a banana pudding – but dropped the egg whites on the floor and couldn’t make the meringue anyway! I guess that’s karma for you! It was fine without it :-)
Thanks again! Do you have a recipe for cobbler?

I hate meringue, but I certainly support your decision to add it… if you like it!!!

    After responding …
After responding about the meringue, I went to the market to find bananas and Nilla waffers. I followed Bradys directions, but I halfed the recipie and prepared it in a double boiler, which takes a bit longer. I am 44 years old, and this is the first time I have ever made banana pudding: Wow! It tastes just like my grandmothers! Thank you so much for the video. Not only is the pudding great, but it also brought to mind many, many happy memories!

    Very few …
Very few Southerners eat meringue. That is probably why Brady did not mention it.

    you are not …
you are not finished my friend!! kudos for the homemade pudding – excellent, but will all due respect, you need to keep the egg whites and make meringue for the top. Make it in a pyrex dish so you can brown the top in the oven.

On Friday night, I made the banana pudding & on Saturday evening we ate it.
I used 3 tablespoon of vanilla, 4 cups of milk & 4 egg yolks & I followed everything that was said in this video. I watched this video about 10 times over a two week period. This is the first time in over 10 years that I was successful in making this dish. Thanks Brady—I will be making this for Thanksgiving & Christmas this year & now I will not have to make cupcakes for our family gathering.

Have to take a cold shower now! Something about an attractive man making homemade goodies. Nice camera angle sweetie! The assembly of the pudding was the last thing on my mind! Now if you could only cook in a pair of undies! You made my New Year! :)

    Well, I guess you …
Well, I guess you could possible add the bananas and mixture first… then add the crackers when serving. I’ve never tried this way, but I don’t see why it would hurt. Those crackers are probably going to get soggy no matter what if you add them in the beginning. Actually, I’ve used ginger snaps before and it was really good… those are a little harder — but over time they’ll get soggy too

    my southern accent …
my southern accent really comes out in this video, huh… bet ya’ll don’t have nothin’ like that in France… but, yes — you’ll get some real southern cookin’ if you come see us in Nashville!!!
