What Buddhists ...
What Buddhists cultivate is "mindfulness", the opposite of "mindlessness" (mindlessness being what happens when someone enslaves their imagination to the TV or something). It's being aware instead of just going through the motions...

Meditation is like eXtreme Mindfulness...

If you are a typical westerner you wont really be able to meditate. But you can still use everyday mindfulness and benefit immensely (and cultivate the inner calm required to start having good meditations).

Delicious looking ...
Delicious looking cake! It's all a meditation isn't it? You don't have to be in a lotus position or be silent, right?

but that's not ...
but that's not practical or possible. Walnuts only have a "large fraction" of omega 3, nowhere near 50%... only flax seed has more than 50%... from the plant kindgdom, I mean.
In any case there's no "need", you can be extremely healthy and energetic without caring about omega-3 intake and indeed consuming neither walnut nor flaxseed...

Indeed. I normally ...
Indeed. I normally eat Walnuts and also flax seed oil.
Though I'm not entirely sold on Omega-3...
For 95% of human evolution, 95% of humans would have had access to no sources of Omega-3.. unless they got it from bacterium/insects on raw food.

In my final common sense analysis, I'd say it quite possible that grossly excessive Omega-6 consumption causes problems and that can be offset by Omega-3...

One thing I should ...
One thing I should mention:
Vegans/Vegeterians should eat more nuts (especially walnuts) than other, since there is a lot of Omega-3 in walnuts, which normally you get via fat fish like tuna, salmon and mackarel

That's true. I'm ...
That's true. I'm always mindful to do that while writing. But I'm a very inexperienced speaker and forget such things easily.
Particularly when I'm not actually parroting (honestly, my memory isn't good enough to do that) and am just borrowing concepts which resonated with me.

Oh yes we all do ...
Oh yes we all do but Ajahn Brahm and all other teachers I've come across cite who they is quoting as opposed to jsut repeating teachings. He has mentioned in quite a few of his talks about people repeating what he says and trying to pass it off as their own without a real understanding of it. It is very easy to get excited and want to share, teach or whatever but I feel it is very important to cite where or who these things are coming from and that one is not a teacher if they are not.

Straight out of one ...
Straight out of one of Ajahn Brahm's talks. I don't mean to be rude but I would be careful about "being a parrot" as some of the Zen teachings would call it.
